1. About these terms

These terms apply when you access or use Tydie, create an account, list cleaning services, book a cleaner, pay through the platform or otherwise use our website or app.

2. Who can use Tydie

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract. You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure.

3. Tydie's role

Tydie operates an online marketplace and business management platform. Unless stated otherwise, cleaning services are provided by independent cleaners or cleaning businesses, not by Tydie. Tydie is not responsible for a cleaner's acts, omissions, quality of work, insurance, permissions or legal compliance, except where the law says otherwise.

4. Customer responsibilities

• Provide accurate booking, contact, address and access information.
• Ensure the property is safe and suitable for the booked service.
• Secure pets, valuables and fragile items where appropriate.
• Pay all charges due for bookings, extras, cancellation fees or other agreed services.
• Treat cleaners respectfully and lawfully.

5. Cleaner responsibilities

• Provide accurate profile, service, price, availability and business information.
• Hold any permissions, registrations, insurance and tax arrangements required for your business.
• Deliver services with reasonable care and skill.
• Attend bookings on time and communicate promptly if there is a problem.
• Comply with platform rules, customer safety standards and applicable laws.

6. Bookings

A booking is created when a customer completes the booking process and payment is authorised or confirmed. Cleaners may receive booking details, customer contact information and service requirements so they can carry out the job.

7. Prices, fees and payments

Prices shown may include cleaner charges, Tydie platform fees, booking fees, taxes or other charges where applicable. Payments may be processed by third-party providers such as Stripe. Tydie may deduct platform fees, booking fees, subscription charges, add-on charges, refunds, chargebacks or other amounts owed before sending cleaner payouts.

8. Cancellations, changes and refunds

Cancellations, changes and refunds are handled under our Cancellation and Refund Policy. Some bookings may be non-refundable or partially refundable where work has started, a cleaner has reserved time, or a customer cancels late.

9. Subscriptions and add-ons

Cleaner subscriptions and paid add-ons renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date. Features may vary by plan. Tydie may change, suspend or withdraw features where needed, but this does not affect rights you have under law.

10. Reviews and content

Users may submit reviews, profile content, photos, descriptions and messages. You must not submit anything false, abusive, illegal, discriminatory, misleading, infringing or harmful. Tydie may moderate, remove or restrict content that breaches these terms or platform rules.

11. Prohibited use

You must not misuse Tydie, attempt to bypass payments or fees, scrape the site, interfere with security, impersonate someone else, harass users, post unlawful content, or use Tydie for illegal or unsafe services.

12. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or statutory rights that cannot be excluded. Subject to that, Tydie is not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of data or issues caused by independent cleaners, third-party services, internet outages or user-provided information.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts, remove listings, pause payouts or restrict access if we believe these terms, platform rules, safety standards or laws have been breached.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere in the UK.
